The discussions focused on promoting economic development, infrastructure cooperation, and strengthening broader ties between the two nations.
Prime Minister Takaichi expressed Japan’s appreciation for Mongolia’s support of a Free and Open Indo-Pacific, emphasizing the importance of further developing cooperation with Mongolia. This sentiment was echoed by Prime Minister Uchral, who reiterated that fortifying relations with Japan is a significant priority within Mongolia’s foreign policy agenda, underscoring his country’s commitment to enhanced cooperation.
A key highlight of their meeting was the signing of an agreement concerning Japan’s assistance in expanding Chinggis Khaan International Airport. This project aims to boost Mongolia’s international connectivity and is a testament to the ongoing infrastructure collaboration between the countries.
