Targeted mainly at those planning to reside in Japan for an extended period, the program will offer adaptable learning modules that cover various aspects of life in Japan, including daily routines, parenting, education, healthcare, and care for the elderly. Additionally, an online version will be available to enable prospective immigrants to begin their education prior to their arrival in the country.
In conjunction with this, officials are contemplating the introduction of minimum Japanese language proficiency requirements for those seeking permanent residency and citizenship before the comprehensive program rollout. This measure aims to facilitate a smoother integration process for foreign residents and assist local communities in accommodating Japan’s increasingly diverse population.
